A small group of people from Brynberian, Tegryn, Newport and Llangolman formed the Preseli Rural Transport Association in December 2002, with support from Pembrokeshire County Council and the Community Transport Association (Wales). Starting with just one vehicle and by 2020 had 5 minibuses, an accessible car and ran a scooter scheme for those needing transport to access work.
In 2024 PRTA changed its name to Green Dragon Community Transport Ltd. This saw the retirement of the old Green Dragon logo. The new logo shows that Green Dragon has come of age and is moving forward with newer vehicles and a new office base.
