The AGM on 1st June 2009.

A major problem with the Ratcliff Palfinger lift on one of our buses delayed the start of the AGM. This time the lift was pouring smoke & the motor burnt out. The bus had to be evacuated, & an engineer was called out.

Luckily no one was hurt in this incident, & it says much for the training of our drivers that the problem was so quickly dealt with in a calm & safe manner. Of course Ratcliff Palfinger lifts have been nothing but trouble in the past, so here is yet another problem to add to the catalogue!

Once the meeting started a packed programme & a superb spread for tea kept everyone occupied for a couple of hours.

The proceedings opened with the AGM, & then our local Assembly Member, Paul Davies, told us a little bit about local transport & his part in promoting Pembrokeshire within the Welsh assembly.

There then followed a film about the change over to Digital TV which is coming to Preseli quite soon, followed by a question & answer session.

The final speaker was Caroline Wilson, & her talk about the Antarctic was illustrated with the wonderful pictures that she had taken on her recent cruise to the Falkland Islands & the Antarctic Peninsula.
